To be in full disclosure, my team created Analytics App! But don’t let that keep you from reading on, this app is fantastic!
There are some apps that you use once or twice, or maybe just use it to show off the iPhone to a friend. Analytics App is a powerful tool for bloggers, small business owners, SEOs, Search Marketers, Affiliates, or anyone with a website. It takes being productive to a whole new level. The interface is clean and easy to use, with a fast response when I use it in 3G and Wi-Fi, and it makes my spare moments more productive because I can do some analysis of my site stats while I’m in line somewhere, or waiting for a meeting to start.
The other great advantage I’ve found from Analytics App is its easy to share data with clients. I’ve got a few friends that I help with their website, and now when I visit with them I can pop out my iPhone and show them what their site is doing, talk about keywords, popular pages, visitor types, and even run custom reports.
I’ve tried the other analytics apps available, there are two of them. They bite. One gives you like 5 points of data, the other just shows you a zoomed out PDF that makes looking at your stats impossible and unbearable.
Analytics App is “Home Screen Worthy”, you’ll use it that often and love it that much. Isn’t it time you spent some more time with your Analytics?

I was recently turned on to “Getting Things Done” or GTD, by David Allen. As I learned about the methods and principles of GTD, I started looking for a GTD application to run on my Mac to organize myself better, especially being someone who works for himself and works from a home office. I found Things.app which is still in beta, but is free until January when the first version gets released. As I started to use it, I loved the workflow and increased productivity, so I went looking for a GTD iPhone app! I didn’t have to look too far, when I found Things for the iPhone!
The Things GTD iPhone App syncs beautifully with Things on my desktop, every time I open the app and am connected to the same network as my MacBook Pro. The interface is easy and simple, and adding a new task couldn’t be more simple (which is one of the principles of GTD).
When I’m on the go I can quickly write down things, and I know when I get back to my home office it will all sync up and be ready to go again. The other night I was laying in bed and thought of one thing I needed to do. Instead of getting up and going to my computer, I could just add it directly to the Things iPhone app!
I’m really impressed, and for $9.99 I think it is worth every cent!

If you’re a Delicious user like me, you’ll want to have MyDelicious on your iPhone. Delicious is a bookmarking service that helps you keep track of the sites you like, and let you tag them. You can also see what others have tagged and discover new sites that others like. With MyDelicious, you can skip the browser interface and have all of your bookmarks readily accessible.
You can use the “Search” function to see all your tags, and then see the bookmarks associated with those tags.
Don’t let the dates weird you out, the format is day/month/year, but the author responded to me and said that will be fixed in the next version to be a more common format.
Download MyDelicious for $1.99

This is not your ordinary notes iPhone App. ShapeWriter has developed a unique technology for quick touch-based writing and gives us a useful app for taking notes using their technology in WritingPad, a free app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Essentially instead of tapping each letter out, you touch the first letter, then slide to the next letter, then the next, and so forth until the last letter. For double letters, don’t do anything, it should guess it right. For words it doesn’t know (if it is not one of the 60,000 words built in) then you can easily add the word to its list.
The interface is very nice, although the space bar width is small and takes a little getting used to. Having the lines drawn while moving your finger is very helpful and is good visual feedback. You can also email out what you have written quite easily.
Be sure to check out the challenging words I fed it in my screenshots below. The single screenshot of the interface in iTunes doesn’t do it justice!
For a free app, it’s worth the quick download to try it out. WritingPad has such cool technology that could pave the way for an improved or alternate keyboard from Apple and other touch screen systems.
Download WritingPad by ShapeWriter for free!

DataCase is one of the most useful iPhone apps I’ve used, and it leverages the networking capabilities of the iPhone very well. For $6.99, I think it is worth every penny. It’s super easy to use. If you have a mac, just go to Finder and in the top menu, Go > Network. Your iPhone should appear there and when you click on it the “folders” or “volumes” will appear. You can create custom volumes using the app on the iPhone (like for Work, Presentations, Family, etc.). Apple’s supported file formats like Word, PDF, Powerpoint, images, etc. are all viewable through DataCase, even when you’re offline (because the files are transferred directly). If you’re on a Windows computer, it’s probably just easiest to open up your FTP program and interact with DataCase that way.
Buy DataCase now at the AppStore for $6.99
In the screenshots below, I show a PowerPoint presentation, a list of files, a list of volumes, and the main page that shows how much space you’ve used and the IP addresses to connect to.
